About Mayor Design

Mayor Design was founded in 2026 by Chris Mayor to provide professional CAD and design services backed by real-world manufacturing knowledge.

With over 25 years of experience in the joinery industry and more than 10 years in technical design and draughting, Chris brings a unique combination of practical workshop experience and technical expertise to every project.

His career began as a bench joiner before progressing into senior design management roles with some of the UK's leading joinery manufacturers. During this time, he worked on a wide range of prestigious projects, including Downing Street, Whitehall and facilities for the Football Association.

Combining hands-on manufacturing experience with advanced AutoCAD expertise and a Level 7 qualification in Senior Construction Management, Chris understands the importance of producing accurate, buildable information that supports successful project delivery.

Today, Mayor Design provides high-quality shop drawings, manufacturing drawings, 3D models and visualisations for manufacturers, contractors, architects and interior designers throughout the UK.
